Government pool fencing guidelines state that metal features close to pools and spas should be earthed to avoid possible electric shocks. Any earthing requirements must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The extent that earthing needs to take place depends on each interpretation and direction provided by the electrician.
As part of the pool fencing compliance requirements your certifier may request a Form 15 from your supplier. This form confirms that the products supplied meet the Australian Standards set out for these products.
At the completion of the inspection a Form 23 will be completed by the certifier and lodged with the pool safety council to confirm compliance.
